Terminaison with “ I ” Conjugation of verbs in present tense with «I»: The infinitive form of the Nepalese verb is always finished with -nu. Thus, the verbs of the dialogue are gārnu (to make), siknu (to learn), bāsnu (to live), jaannu (to go). For the first person, singular, it’s enough to replace the termination « -nu » with « -chu ».
a) mā kaathmāndu jaanchu I am going to Kathmandu I teach/instruct Nepali language. I will stay for one week I learn/will learn Nepali language. I eat dal-bhat I want to eat dal-bhat I will sleep quite early (soon) today I can swim I live/stay in Pokhara I am watching TV everyday I listen to the radio
